What happens when you open up a box full of ideas, suggestions and methods to tell stories? The GRIMMWELT Kassel created an exhibition after a two year program of workshops with refugees. Different methods were used to involve kids in a storytelling process, including a collective cookbook, collages of fantastic creatures and learning new drum rhythms.
In the exhibition “Unboxing”, BADABOOMBERLIN was invited to show what happens when animal and human features combine together. As a result, we created a set of animated papercut masks, that would transform any visitor into a fantastic creature.
