Together with Benjamin Hohnheiser and Mika Satomi, we presented the interactive pop-up “Book of Shadows” in the Schaubude Berlin and in the Toihaus Salzburg.
In the room there is a table, a torchlight, a closed book.
Opening its pages, white papercuts emerge into pop-up landscapes. Projecting the torch light on the book silhouettes, something different than the expected shadows on the wall appears.
Behind the trees, between the waves, objects and animals appear like magic following the visitor exploration with the torchlight, revealing hidden details and unexpected happenings.
